Chiropractor
Remi Jeffries D.C.
Dr. Remi Jeffries earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Pre Med from Columbia College in 2017 while playing collegiate golf. After graduating Dr. Jeffries continued her studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic - Florida and earned the Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2021.
Dr. Jeffries was born in Milwaukee, WI and raised in Blythewood, SC right outside of Columbia. Dr. Jeffries enjoys shopping, dining out and spending time with her two year old pup, Rocco. Dr. Jeffries will be the primary chiropractor on staff at our new University location.
Chiropractor
Bryan Mozingo D.C.
Dr. Bryan A. Mozingo is a second-generation Chiropractic Physician. Dr. Mozingo attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA where he received extensive training on Pain Management, Family Wellness care, Rehabilitation and Exercise, and Posture Correction.
After completing his doctorate, Dr. Mozingo has taken postgraduate courses in: Chiropractic Pediatrics and Family Care, Whiplash and Brain Traumatology with the Spine Research Institute of San Diego and Spinal Decompression.
Dr. Mozingo went back to school and received FIAMA Certification in 2013. This American program, run through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. "Fellowship" Certification (FIAMA) is restricted to professionals possessing the degree of MD, DO, DC, ND, DDS and DPM. Fellowship in the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture Inc. is earned after completing the requirements of its one-year program provided through an accredited college.
The program consists of postgraduate accelerated didactic symposiums consisting of seven 15-hour didactic modules in addition to 200 hours of documented clinical applications over a period of one year (305 hours). Outside class study and assignments add hundreds of dedicated hours of study to the program. The program terminates with the administration of both the International competency examination (5 hours), in addition to the "Blood borne pathogen/Clean needle examination.
Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Mozingo was the clinic director for a large multidisciplinary family practice in Ballantyne where he had the opportunity to work alongside physical therapists and in conjunction with medical doctors to provide the best care for his patients.
Dr. Mozingo is happily married to his wife Mary. They enjoy the Carolina beaches, fitness at the Siskey YMCA, and traveling.
Dr. Mozingo is a board member for the Community Health Alliance-Novant Health Matthews Medical Center and Matthews Free Medical Clinic Chiropractic Services Director.
Certified Chiropractic Assistant
Kay Fields
Kay joined University Chiropractic in February 2025 but has worked in Chiropractic Care since 2023. She builds trust in patients through understanding and communicating their needs. She started working for The Joint Chiropractic as a receptionist and has now advanced herself to a Certified Chiropractic Assistant position at UCC.
She now specializes in working with attorneys for personal injury patients, insurance coding and billing, and providing different therapies. Kay was born in Charlotte, NC but is a NEW YORICAN at heart. Kay is also a Licensed Esthetician for her own business A Billion Blinkz LLC since 2020. She enjoys making people feel confident in themselves and embracing their beauty. She loves to eat monfongo (a traditional Puerto Rican dish) and have spa time. Kay is an only child but family oriented and very outgoing. Each day she brings a positive atmosphere to the clinic, keeping patients' health at their best.
