Covid-19 Statement of Awareness

Updated Regular Business Hours - Effective Immediately!

After pushing through the Stay At Home Order issued by Mecklenburg County on March 27th, 2020, we at UCC are opening back up to full-time hours effective immediately! Our patients' health has been our top priority, and we are proud to say that we have successfully limited potential exposure to staff and patients! Scheduling needs outside of this temporary schedule can be discussed as needed. We will adjust accordingly with state and federal requirements as we move forward with this issue.

Please contact us FIRST and do NOT burden your medical doctor or the hospital with NMS-related concerns, as their attention should be focused primarily on the Covid-19 crisis. The following are changes to our office and protocol to maximize cleanliness, keeping you the patient and our staff as safe and healthy as possible:

• All front-office material (books, magazines, educational material, children's toys, etc.) have been removed until further notice
• The free coffee/tea station has been removed until further notice
• All general surfaces (countertops, doorknobs, chairs, etc.) are sanitized multiple times daily
• All chiropractic-related surfaces (adjusting tables, tools, etc.) are sanitized before and after each patient visit, increased from previous protocol
• Staff and doctor are wearing medical gloves and NIOSH-approved N95-masks (where available) during each individual patient visit
• The applicable surface of the back is sanitized with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (above the CDC-recommended 60%) before application of electrical stimulation therapy
• Scheduling will be staggered as to respect the 4-6 foot social distancing advisory from the federal government, especially in patients 60 years of age and older
